About the Role:

Join LP Maintenance LLC as a Metal Trim Maintenance Worker, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and longevity of our metal trim installations. We are looking for dedicated, experienced individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in their craftsmanship. Only applicants with direct prior experience should apply.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspections and maintenance on metal trim installations.

Repair and replace damaged metal trims to ensure structural integrity.

Utilize specialized tools and equipment for metalworking tasks.

Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure workplace safety.

Document maintenance activities and report any issues to supervisors.

Assist in training new employees on metal trim maintenance techniques.

Trade Specific Tasks:

Restoration & Refinishing: Restore scratched, dented, or oxidized brass fixtures, such as railings, wall panels, doors, and hardware, to a high-quality finish.

Polishing & Cleaning: Utilize various polishing tools, buffing wheels, and compounds to remove tarnish and restore shine to brass and other decorative metals.

Surface Preparation: Sand, grind, strip, and clean metal surfaces to prepare them for refinishing or protective coating.

Repair Work: Remove dents, repair scratches, and replace missing/broken components of decorative trim and hardware.

Protective Application: Apply lacquers, wax, or protective coatings to prevent future tarnishing and oxidation.

Perform restoration work on-site at client locations.

Inspection & Assessment: Inspect brass fixtures to identify the extent of damage and determine the necessary cleaning or repair methods.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in metalwork is a plus.

Proven experience in metal trim maintenance or similar roles.

Strong understanding of metalworking tools and safety practices.

Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.

Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
