Scope:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Metallurgical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metals and materials engineering, with hands-on experience in process improvement, failure analysis, and metallurgical testing. This role requires proficiency in data analysis and process modeling tools, and will be instrumental in driving quality and efficiency across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead process improvement initiatives using data-driven approaches and statistical tools such as Minitab.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve metallurgical issues and improve product performance.
Develop and maintain material specifications and processing guidelines.
Use computer-based process modeling to simulate and optimize metallurgical processes.
Utilize SAP for data tracking, material management, and reporting.
Conduct root cause analysis and support quality assurance activities.
Interpret mechanical and microstructural test data to ensure conformance to customer and industry standards.
Support new product development and process scale-up activities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a closely related engineering field.
4 to 10+ years of experience in a metallurgical engineering role, preferably in a metals manufacturing or processing environment.
Proficient in statistical analysis tools, especially Minitab.
Experience with SAP in a manufacturing or engineering context.
Familiarity with computer-based process modeling and simulation tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
