Instructional Designer METCOR/LSI - Washington, DC 20005 Learning Systems International (LSI), a division of METCOR Ltd. has an immediate need for a highly-motivated individual to design and develop training materials for federal employees.The Instructional Designer position is full-time, located in our Washington, DC office,and offers a long-term opportunity for internal growth within an established organization. All positions require the ability to pass a background investigation conducted by a federal government agency and a drug test. US citizenship is required. Minimum requirements for the Instructional Designer role include: 2-4 years of experience designing and developing web-based training * with Lectora, Captivate, and other cutting-edge development technologies * Experience in designing and developing highly interactive virtual training * Effective communication skills, both written and verbal * Analytical skills and high-level of attention to detail * Knowledge of and experience with the ADDIE process of Instructional Systems Design * Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, PowerPoint, and Excel * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment * High-degree of flexibility and adaptability * Champion of life-long learning and self-development * Bachelor's degree in related field, graduate work and/or additional certifications preferred * Experience in accessibility compliance testing preferred Responsibilities in the Instructional Designer role include, but are not limited to: Collaborative design and development of training materials (presentations, quick reference tools, instructor/participant guides, etc.) on a variety of topics * Development of web-based training in Lectora and/or Captivate * Editing and content review for other team members LSI is a small, fast-paced, flexible company with primary focus on developing and delivering highly customized technical and procedural training.
