HEALTHCARE SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT (CUSTOMER SUCCESS)

At MetiStream we believe enterprise search and access to unstructured clinical documents should be a fundamental right for healthcare organizations.  Unfortunately most are denied this basic right thru limitations of their existing EHR and/or research tools.  MetiStream’s Ember product makes this possible through a Google-like search and a scalable NLP engine that can rapidly attribute and index millions of clinical notes (even a ten year historical backlog) in a matter of hours and then deliver those notes for analytics.  Imagine: no more tedious “hunt and peck” of patient cases.  With both unstructured and structured data joined at their fingertips, we unlock the hidden value of patient data and shepard healthcare organizations into a modern era that starts with essential search and ends with insight.

We are looking for talented Healthcare Solutions Architects and Sr. Solution Engineers to support our Ember product implementations at customer site.

YOU WILL

• Implement and rollout our Ember healthcare analytics platform at customer sites
• In conjunction with the Account Executive and Project Management lead and other MetiStream Customer Success team members, ensure overall customer success of Ember product deployments
• Coordinate implementation efforts with customers
• Serve as a SME for our product and other Big Data / Open Source ecosystem technologies
• Liaise with our Engineering and Support teams to implement use cases, fix bugs, and share enhancement opportunities
• Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering and Sales/Marketing teams to develop our overall product roadmap strategy
• Lead / Support configuration of our Ember software
• Lead/ Support data acquisition, cleansing, and validation efforts
• Lead / Support predictive model development and deployment efforts
• Support and enforce client and industry security requirements as it relates to our solution
• Work with other vendors to support integration activities
• Serve as technical coach to analytics team members and Data Scientists
• Lead / Support overall technical quality control, UAT and validation efforts
• Contribute to knowledge transfer and training activities including training content development

YOU HAVE:

• Expertise in Healthcare IT across Provider, Payer or life sciences sectors 
• Experience in healthcare standards such as FHIR or HL7 and the processing of healthcare data at scale such as EHR, claims, and other healthcare related data 
• Experience with implementing NLP solutions and working with unstructured data such as text, PDF or imaging data
• ~5 - 8+ years (Architect) or ~2 - 5+ (Sr. Solutions Eng) professional IT experience with emphasis in Java, Scala, or Python design and development
• 1 - 2+ years’ experience with cloud architectures and large data processing; ability to set up  and manage multi-node clusters on the cloud
• Experience with customer facing roles implementing Big Data / Advanced Analytic solutions
• Expertise with Apache Spark and associated Spark components (Streaming, SQL, ML, etc)
• Ability to integrate and orchestrate Cloud / Big Data ecosystem / Open Source technologies
• Familiarity with DW/ETL/BI solutions and implementations
• Familiarity with system administration and scripting tools such as bash, Python and/or Perl
• Familiarity with system administration of Hadoop / Big Data ecosystem components including installation, upgrades, and security
• Understanding of various data storage concepts (in-memory, NoSQL, columnar, etc.)
• Specialized skills in either data visualization or analytics
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills including both written and verbal skills; experience speaking at conferences, meetups, or other technical events
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
• Ability to relocate or support travel to customer sites

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Experience with event processing / real-time streaming concepts and technologies - Kafka, Kinesis, or other similar CEP / data ingest / messaging solutions
• Expertise with Data Science, Machine Learning and algorithmic development
• Contributed to / committed to an Open Source software project, participated in an OS user/dev group, and/or created technical blogs
• Industry speaker and  author
