    Position Overview

    We are seeking a talented and motivated individual looking to launch their career in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). As an FP&A Analyst, you will have the opportunity to join our esteemed organization and play a crucial role in supporting financial analysis, planning, and forecasting activities. This position offers valuable experience and growth potential within our finance team, contributing to our strategic decision-making and overall business performance.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and trend analysis, to identify key factors influencing business performance and provide insights to relevant stakeholders.
    2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor and analyze actual financial results against budget and forecast, and offer recommendations for improvement.
    3. Financial Planning: Support the creation of financial models, scenarios, and projections to aid strategic planning initiatives. Provide analysis and insights on financial trends, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making processes.
    4. Reporting and Communication: Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and other senior stakeholders. Effectively communicate financial results and findings in a clear and concise manner.
    5. Cost Analysis: Analyze cost structures and drivers to identify areas for cost optimization. Collaborate with relevant departments to develop recommendations and implement cost-saving measures.
    6. Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as Operations, Strategy and Solutions, to understand business dynamics and provide financial insights to support their decision-making processes.
    7. Financial Systems and Tools: Utilize financial systems and tools to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting capabilities. Stay updated on technological advancements in financial software and recommend improvements when necessary.
    8. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve financial planning and analysis processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness. Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization.

    Knowledge, skills, experience & traits required

    1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
    2. Experience: Previous work experience in a financial role
    3. Strong Analytical Skills: Proficient in financial analysis techniques and tools. Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights.
    4. Detail-oriented: Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when working with financial data and reports.
    5. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to present financial information clearly and concisely.
    6. Proficiency in Financial Software: Strong knowledge of financial software applications, including Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., ERP, BI tools) is advantageous.
    7. Business Acumen: Understanding of business operations and key financial drivers. Ability to translate financial analysis into actionable recommendations.
    8. Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    9. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

    Work Environment

    **** This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Physical Demands

    • **** This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

    Facility Location

    Washington D.C. – Remote working flexibility with expectation of regular office attendance

    Travel

    The role may involve travel both domestically and internationally to Metrea operating sites and to collaborate with teammates.

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications

    Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.

    Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.

    Work Authorization/Security Clearance

    Employee must be a US citizen.

    Employee must be able to hold and maintain a Secret (or higher) Clearance Level.

    Employee must have and maintain a U.S. Passport.
