    THIS POSITION IS FULL TIME OR C2C

    DESCRIPTION: Metric5 is seeking a strong SharePoint Analyst / Strategist able to expertly guide a federal agency group with SharePoint 2016 documentation repository requirements, best practices, and strategy development. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the SharePoint 2016 platform and it features and capabilities to support it use as a documentation repository. The candidate is able to develop materials and facilitate working sessions with the client group leading to the development of a strategy to revamp their current SharePoint documentation repository to improve the logic, structure, utility, user experience, and overall value to the organization. The end goal is to use subject matter expertise to facilitate improved adoption of SharePoint 2016 as documentation repository and collaboration space by end users.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    · A minimum of 4 years of hands-on SharePoint 2016 experience to include SharePoint-specific required skills: creating sites, document libraries, lists and views; search and taxonomies; folders; metadata and tagging; versioning; co-authoring; customizing web parts and web part pages; Office and other Microsoft (or 3rd party) integration; and reporting functions.

    · Strong understanding of the SharePoint 2016 platform capabilities, constraints, and best practices.

    · Ability to gather and manage end user / business requirements for SharePoint documentation repository structure, features, and design.

    · Ability and experience guiding stakeholders in striking a balance between business needs and SharePoint capabilities; able to analyze options and offer alternatives that address end user / business needs with limited to no customization / 3rd party solutions.

    · Ability to prepare presentation materials for use in working sessions to elicit requirements and provide options, alternatives, and best practices for using SharePoint 2016 as an active documentation repository of value to users.

    · Ability to produce well-written, polished, error free, and professional reports containing analysis and recommendations.

    · Ability to develop and maintain effective customer and user relationships.

    · Ability to provide SharePoint users with training and resolve questions.

    · Excellent communication, facilitation, elicitation, and organization skills.

    · Self-motivated and ability to work independently on defined tasks as needed.

    · Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook)Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Visual Studio.

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    · 8+ years overall, relevant professional experience

    · Experience supporting federal agencies with SharePoint documentation requirements and strategy development

    · Understanding of project management methodologies and stakeholder management.

    · Understanding of NARA records management guidelines

    · Ability to recognize documentation repository processes and resources that can be improved through SharePoint and propose such initiatives to stakeholders.

     

    EDUCATION:

    · Bachelors degree from an accredited university required; significant equivalent experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
