Orthopedic Medical Biller

DESCRIPTION / QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEDICAL BILLER:

Seeking an on-site position with working knowledge of medical billing or a medical practice to join our growing billing company. Position entails being responsible for working aged receivables and talking to patients regarding bills owed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO) FOR MEDICAL BILLER:

· Performs timely follow up on claims

· Makes clear legible notes in system pertaining to any collection efforts made on accounts as well as on a excel spreadsheet.

· Work insurance aging reports with accountability on all claims more than 60 days old

· Must work be able to work minimum 35-50 accounts daily with QC oversight from AR Manager.

· Maintain accuracy rating of 90% or greater on audited accounts

· Ability to communicate to team lead payer regulations and guidelines that affect provider practices and team procedures

· Meet productivity standards as set by the manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES) FOR MEDICAL BILLER:

· Excellent Verbal and Written skills

· Ability to prioritize work

· Detail and well organized

· Must have strong keyboard skills with knowledge of Adobe, Microsoft Word, and Excel

· Must have a pleasant disposition and high tolerance level for diverse views and opinions

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
