The DIRECTOR, INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES is responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of the enterprise-wide business systems, infrastructure systems and networks; ensuring high levels of functionality, reliability, availability, performance, and business alignment. This position will also be responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, effective IT disaster recovery capabilities and problem management and resolution.
This individual will develop and implement standards, procedures and operational IT processes. They will oversee, coordinate, and monitor all support, administration, and operational management activities. The successful candidate will proactively identify problem and opportunity areas; continuously assessing and making recommendations for improvement. They will plan, direct and lead initiatives associated with the implementation of technologies to support business objectives.
As a member of the Corporate IT team you will have full access to our investment in training, software, and hardware from market leading vendors. Working out of our INDEPENDENCE, OH corporate headquarters office, you will apply proven communication, analytical, problem-solving and architecture design skills to further mature Covia’s infrastructure operations and maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Ability to perform the duties of the job safely, efficiently and in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations without direct supervision, including the ability to operate required vehicles or equipment.
Must successfully pass the examinations of MetroLink Operating Rules for MOW employees, and other safety rules, within the qualification period, and annually as required. Must observe all applicable Operating Rules, Safety Rules, Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions in the exercise of their duties.
Ability to obtain certification in CPR, First Aid and other safety practices. Required training to meet certification will be paid for by Metro and conducted during normal work hours.
LICENSE: Possession of a current, Missouri or Illinois valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License and all required endorsements.
