  • Responsibilities

    Territory is in Western and Northern Michigan

    Under limited supervision and with significant independent judgment, is responsible for the profitability and growth of life insurance product sales in an assigned territory through a network of independent agents.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Works with P&C Field Management to manage existing agency relationships and solicit life sales by:

    a. Educating P&C Field Management on life products and markets;

    b. Working to establishing life production goals;

    c. Evaluates and recommends the rehabilitation or termination of existing life agent contracts.

    2. Assists P&C Field Management in the identification, solicitation, and recommendation of new agency appointments, including:

    a. Making joint and individual visits to prospect agencies.

    3. Regularly visits contracted agencies within the assigned territory and maintains liaison between life company and agency staff to:

    a. Train agency staff on life products, systems, processes and procedures;

    b. Assist agencies and the company in identifying and exploiting markets for life products;

    c. Facilitate the resolution of service and other issues between the agency and the company in all areas;

    d. Helps to ensure life writing agents comply with company guidelines, laws and regulations related to life insurance.

    4. Serves as an expert to company management and sales personnel concerning life competition relative to products, pricing, compensation, processes, etc., including:

    a. Assists in the development of life product marketing and sales material and tools.

    5. May provide leadership to junior staff by assigning tasks, training and providing guidance. May provide input to management regarding junior staff performance.

    6. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    • Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or six to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

  • Qualifications
    • Knowledge of server infrastructure (particularly Windows Server 2012+)
      • Windows server 2012+
      • Linux server (RHEL, SUSE)
    • Knowledge Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory and Group Policy
    • Knowledge of VMware vSphere 6+
    • Knowledge of network security and anti-virus
    • Knowledge of NAS/NetApp and Nimble SAN platforms
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems and applications
    • Knowledge of IP networks, networking, VMware, Storage, Anti-malware, Security
    • Knowledge of the ITIL process methodology including asset management, change management, incident management and risk management
    • Knowledge of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops and servers
    • Experience with Active Directory
    • Experience in process improvement, metric development, reporting and process analytics
    • Working knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) and related technologies
