  • Responsibilities

    The Manager, Brand Marketing is responsible for promoting the brand, internally and externally, by developing strategies and tactics that drive brand growth. As the brand champion, the manager will ensure brand integrity in all areas of the business. This includes developing an annual brand plan, setting the brand calendar, coordinating cross-functional activities, managing timelines and completing all projects related to the brand, including brand standards, brand voice, brand promise and brand identity.

     

    KEY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develops strategies and objectives for building and executing year-round brand engagement through partnerships, sponsorships, social media, marketing and communications
    • Using consumer insights and market data, focuses on keeping the brand standards current, fresh and contemporary
    • Works with Sales and other external-facing team to ensure integrity of the brand and the adherence to brand standards
    • Develops and implements brand insights and analysis to monitor the health of the brand
    • Works closely with Customer Care and Customer Experience to ensure the brand experience is meeting our standards with members, providers, employees and the general public
    • Manages the member and prospect journeys and the brand standards to fulfill and enhance those journeys
    • Manages market research to keep up to date with customer trends as well as working to predict future trends
    • Monitors advertising, product design and other marketing to maintain brand consistency
    • Organizes events, including member events, affirming the brand strength and brand promise
    • Performs other duties as required

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience required. Master's degree a plus.

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 7 or more years of progressively responsible marketing experience including 3 in brand marketing.
    • Previous supervisory experience.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including a strong knowledge of AP Style, outstanding grammatical skills and a creative flair.
    • Staff and budget management experience.
    • Experience developing and executing integrated brand marketing plans.
    • Experience working with market research and membership data.
    • Experience in health insurance, financial services or healthcare setting preferred.
    • Comfort with website content systems, CRM systems, email and text message platforms and social media.

    • Effective collaborative and proven process improvement skills.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
    • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize and lead complex projects.
    • Demonstrated ability to direct teams and effectively delegate work.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets.
    • Proactive and forward thinking; strong interest in implementing innovative technologies, processes, and ideas.

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

    • Ability to work after hours during peak periods.
