  • Responsibilities

    The Manager Applications manages a set of enterprise business applications. The Manager partners with business leaders to enable the organization to achieve its goals through technology. Works closely with Business leaders to understand business problems and opportunities in the context of technology, and collaborates with other IT leaders to recommend IT systems solutions to support business strategy.

     

    SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

    • SUPERVISES 5-10 STAFF

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

           EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of training and experience.

     

            PREFERRED/DESIRABLE:

    • BA Certificate.
    • BA Master Certificate.

     

          EXPERIENCE:

    • 8+ years progressively responsible business and information systems knowledge.
    • Demonstrated experience with transactional system configuration. Experience in managed healthcare or insurance operations.
    • Experience with relational data base concepts, as well as experience testing and implementing third party applications and tools.
    • 4 years of prior management experience.

  • Qualifications
    • Understand, develop and utilize the Cognos/Adaytum budgeting software system.
    • Compile operating and financial data for preparing budgets; meet with operating and financial staffs to discuss budgets.
    • Collect and analyze data for preparation of monthly and quarterly company performance indicator reports.
    • Analyze and compare data to determine required or desirable budget levels, review and analyze programs and procedures to determine budgetary impact.
    • Monitor budgets and initiate actions and respond to requests regarding budgeted accounts and activities; perform monitoring reviews and complex analyses of budgeted operating and capital expenditures and program performance.
    • Prepare proposals and recommend actions concerning budget levels, revisions, costs, transfers and related matters.
    • Conduct complex cost benefit analysis and develop recommendations on major projects; participate in the development and implementation of budget policies and procedures.
