    Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz (BSSF) is a premier advisory firm in Central PA and Maryland, providing accounting, assurance, tax and consulting services across the Mid-Atlantic region. We are seeking an Audit Intern to join our growing team! 

     

    THE PURPOSE OF THE BSSF INTERN IS TO FULFILL TASKS SET OUT BY VARIOUS TEAMS TO GAIN VALUABLE EXPERIENCE AND INSIGHT INTO THE EVERYDAY ENVIRONMENT OF A PUBLIC ACCOUNTING FIRM.  THE INTERNSHIP IS A HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE WHICH WILL PREPARE THE INTERN FOR A TRANSITION INTO THEIR CAREER. THE INTERN WILL OPERATE UNDER DIRECT SUPERVISION AND THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INTERN WILL VARY DEPENDING ON THE TEAM.

    Required Skills

    • Accounting major
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 overall and in major
    • Looking for students graduating 2022-2025 with, preferred but not required,150 credit hours

    • Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.

     

    PHYSICAL STRENGTH:                   

    • Exerting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or 10 lbs. constantly.

    • Ability to perform basic math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percents, and to draw and interpret graphs.

     

    LANGUAGE ABILITY:                       

    • Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, atlases, and encyclopedias. Ability to prepare memos, reports and essays using proper punctuation, spelling and grammar. Ability to communicate distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis, correct pronunciation (or sign equivalent), and variation n word order using present, perfect, and future tenses.
