    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

    As the Program Management Specialist, you will define and manage the processes that allow IT leadership and project managers to effectively assign the appropriate resources to successfully execute the project portfolio.                                                                             

    • Develop resource portfolio processes from the ground up and implement them in Microsoft Project Server.
    • Collaborate with project managers and IT leadership to coordinate and monitor the scheduling of project resources.
    • Help ensure IT resources are allocated properly to meet project needs.
    • Assist with resource capacity/demand planning.
    • Prepare resource portfolio pipeline reports.
    • Assist project managers with locating just-in-time resources.
    • Facilitate planning sessions with IT leadership.
    • Act as a single point of contact for resource related issues/problems/risks.
    • Review resource plans per the standard project phase gates.
    • Additional responsibilities include financial and project portfolio reporting, assisting the IT PMO with the adoption of Microsoft Project Server, and managing projects (as time permits).

    Required Skills

    • Resource demand and capacity planning.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
    • Understanding and application of project management methodologies.
    • Tableau, Business Objects, or similar reporting experience a plus.
    • Superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills to communicate with a wide range of audiences.
    • Must be authentic by being genuine and real; combining candor with care. Staying true and committed to Aera and the community.

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Project Management, Finance, Business or other related field of study.
    • Minimum of 5 years of work experience managing enterprise level projects and programs.
