  • Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for conducting biomedical informatics-based data production, acquisition and analysis in a research setting. The successful candidate will work on the design, analysis and management of biological and clinical data sets for Genomics, Proteomics and Clinical data.

     

    Experience in acquiring, analyzing and organizing data from a variety of reference sources. This includes:

    • Bioinformatics applications (Genomics, Proteomics, and other Omics-level biomedical data analysis)
    • Clinical Informatics systems including familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platforms (such as Epic or Cerner

    Strong analytical skills for working with research-focused systems.

    • This includes:
    • Project management and organizational skills
    • Preparing and explain results (charts, graphs, tables and reports) to researchers.
    • Preparation of materials for publication and dissemination.
    • Producing and editing scientific manuscripts and sections of grant applications according to accepted practices.

    Performs other related duties as assigned

    Required Experience

    BS, MS or PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences or related fields. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with two (2) years’ experience is expected; a Master’s or PhD degree is preferred. The equivalent combination of education and experience with expertise in data analysis of biomedical data, systems and applications will also be considered.
