MORTGAGE ORIGINATOR FOR MARSHALL COUNTY

Proactively solicits new residential mortgage business and promotes RFCU mortgage products to meet established loan quality and production goals.   In this on-going sales role, continually identifies, develops and maintains a quality network of business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities (i.e. Real Estate professionals, Builders, professional and personal contacts and is enhanced by regular participation in business related development opportunities).

Responds to customer inquiries and referrals that are generated from both their own contacts and from other business channels. Conducts interviews with prospective borrowers in order to analyze financial and credit data, determine customer financing objectives, advise customers of product/pricing policies and guidelines, and gather any additional required information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Attracts new mortgage loan applications by developing relationships within the community, specifically with the real estate community; making sales calls to prospective customers
• Originates mortgage applications. Sets customer expectations and educates them on the entire mortgage origination process.
• Works with mortgage processors to keep the member and all related parties advised of the status of the application. Coordinates with closing area to facilitate a prompt and accurate loan closing.
• Identifies opportunities to increase loan origination volume in order to achieve defined loan growth objectives.

Required Experience

A well-qualified candidate will have:

Minimum two years experience in mortgage lending.
