    REPORTS TO:                      Office Manager/Physicians

    Mia Bella Pediatrics is looking for an experienced, motivated, and highly organized medical professional to function as a pediatric medical assistant for our staff of physicians.   

    This position requires a critical thinker with an eye for detail and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while ensuring the highest level of patient care. The ideal candidate will be ready to provide service at a moment’s notice, stay cool under pressure, and can handle multiple tasks fluidly. Relationship building and prioritizing tasks will be a priority, and excellent interpersonal skills are a must.

    Responsibilities

    • Assists physician with patient treatment
    • Escorts patients to and from exam rooms
    • Be prepared to manage competing priorities and complex tasks including administering immunizations
    • Prepare, stock and ensure readiness of each exam room
    • Act as a liaison between patients and physicians
    • Distributes literature as needed for patient education as requested by MD (ie: VIS, anticipatory guidance, safety)
    • General office duties, including screening and answering calls, scheduling appointments, ordering back office supplies, and misc. correspondence
    • Handle other duties as needed

    Requirements

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to stay connected and assist during normal business hours
    • Impeccable organizational and time-management abilities
    • Exceptional attention to detail as well as ability to see the big picture
    • Ability to act with discretion when needed and remain HIPPA compliant
    • Friendly and approachable demeanor
    • Possess knowledge of the medical field and medical terminology
    • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
