    Job Description

    CPA firm in Westchester County, NY, seeks a staff auditor/accountant with 2 - 4 years current experience working in a public accounting firm. Candidates must possess an accounting degree and have or be pursuing a CPA license. With guidance, candidates must be able to work independently on assignments and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate should have a basic knowledge of the following:

    1. Auditing experience, including preparation of workpapers and schedules, journal entries, familiarity with engagement management software, PPC SMART practice aids, etc.;
    2. Financial statement preparation;
    3. Basic income tax preparation, both corporate and individual;
    4. Ability to handle multiple client accounts with an attention to detail and time sensitiveness;
    5. Excellent communication skills;
    6. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, tax preparation software and accounting software.
