    Job Description

    The MEDIA SERVICES REP works cross-functionally with audience development, operations, sales, and other teams within the organization to provide support for assigned properties including:  audience queries based on requested parameters, list matching to identify specific audience segments and/or duplication, receipt/data mapping and import of audience lists including geographic and demographic information, receipt, coding and import of USPS address files and general list hygiene.

    This position is key in delivering print and digital audience electronic customer/data files and reporting to 3rd party vendors including printers, auditors, product fulfillment vendor and other suppliers.  In addition, this position provides support and analysis to our audience development, sales and publishing teams on time in order to make decisions that support publication revenue.  Receipt of incoming customer files, mapping of data and import into various system.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Fulfillment Services  (40%):

    • Works with audience development director, management to provide geographic, demographic queries/reports used for promotions
    • Deliver print and digital electronic customer/data files to 3rd party vendors including printers, auditors, product fulfillment warehouse and other suppliers
    • Responsible for monthly imports and exports of customer and demographic date into various systems
    • Conducts monthly customer hygiene processes including duplication checks, address hygiene using postal software

     

    Analytics/Reporting (30%):

    • Prepare mail file using split instructions/list match from production
    • Prepares print and digital mail files using demographic, geographic specified criteria, prepare and distribute print distribution reports
    • Compiles various standard/infographic reports and analysis used by publishers, sales and audience development and the United States Post Office
    • Prepares properties for audit; gathers reports, magazine copies, media kits, statements, documentation, electronic audience files to send to auditors.
    • Provides support for editorial freelance editorial contracts, inputs into database, stores documentation, retrieves historic documentation
    • Supports educational product email marketing campaigns including scheduling, pulling audience lists, coordinating email tests and deployments

    Other (10%):

    • Provide support to order entry staff
    • Research and respond to questions for internal teams

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree with proven work, educational/professional experience in database analytics
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft office products (Excel, Word) as well as prove analytical and reporting skills
    • Demonstrated organization skills, attention to detail and work independently to manage multiple responsibilities and meet all deadlines
    • Outstanding problem solver with excellent customer services skills handling matters in a courteous and timely manner with outstanding written and oral communications
    • A team player with the ability to work in an evolving fast-pa environment
