    General Legislative Internship General Description: The Michigan House of Representatives is currently looking to fill several internship positions for the 2018-19 academic year. Interns will have the opportunity to assist the Member and their staff in general office operations including constituent relations, communications and monitoring legislation. Selected candidates will gain valuable hands-on office and legislative experience in a fast-paced environment. Hours are negotiable. Salary Range: This is an unpaid position, but college credit is possible. See your schools Internship Coordinator or Academic Advisor. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be a student, veteran, or participant in job entry program. Strong applicants will have a positive attitude, previous office experience including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, telephone skills, and writing skills. Knowledge of the Legislature is desired but not required. Applicants should have a writing sample and references available upon request. General Caucus: Republican, Democratic, and Non-Partisan positions available.
