    GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE

     

    Must have Experience with Logility Voyager Software

    The Supply Planning Manager will drive Collaborative Planning and Replenishment within our internal Dole team as well as connect the customer demand throughout the item life cycle in the total supply chain.  This role will influence the production plan based on customer forecast, work to maximize manufacturing efficiency, execute during events, and lead the customer supply relationship to deliver service goals.  The individual should have a complete understanding of the Logility Voyager Supply Planning module and its effectiveness to help drive best in class production planning processes.  Utilizing the Logility Voyager Supply Planning program, along with internal tools and communication the Supply Planning Manager will analyze data trends to support the business planning and execution processes through review of  forecast  accuracy and ensure that the capacity and inventory plans are established to meet business needs.  This role will be also responsible for building relationships with internal contacts including Operations, Sales teams, Demand Planning, Business Planning, Purchasing, Finance and other functions when required.  This position will report directly to the Sr. Director of Manufacturing Planning.

     

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION

     

    • Full ownership of KPIs, including customer order fill rate, on time delivery, finished good inventory levels and finished good disposals at Dole warehouses, etc.
    • Take ownership of continuous improvements and events that impact supply replenishment.
    • Deep understanding of Dole’s systems to align with external drivers to identify replenishment opportunities with keen focus on launch promotional and item life cycle events.
    • Owner of the monitoring and communication of Dole finished good inventory targets as they pertain to production planning and customer fill rate.
    • Utilize customer data and sales intelligence and validate and influence the production forecast.
    • Lead projects to drive store execution and reduce waste in the supply chain.

     

    JOB SPECIFIC COMPENTENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS)

     

    • Experience with Logility Voyager Supply Planning Model desired
    • 7+ years of experience within the Supply Chain / Business disciplines
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management preferred
    • Software Skills: Proficiency with MS Office and Excel is required at an advanced level; experience with a forecast modeling tool preferred (e.g. Logility Voyager)
    • 1-3 years’ experience in fresh product Supply Chain or equivalent
    • Effective communication skills, including solid negotiation and customer facing skills to support relationship building
    • Demonstrated analytical approach to management of supply chain interface between supplier and the customer, root-causing constraints and service issues and providing solutions
    • Proven ability to structure and conduct supply chain analyses with emphasis on customer collaborative results
    • Ability to understand impact of decisions and changes to e2e Supply Chains and to convert strategy into results
    • The position needs to display excellent analytical judgment in determining trends & root causes and leading to actionable and proactive recommendations
    • Ability to work autonomously and lead initiatives is necessary
    • Working knowledge of:
      • Use of quantitative methods to analyze situations and solve business problems
      • Data management/databases
      • Supply chain operations

    EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree with majors in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Marketing or Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience as determined by management.
    • Specialties in Supply Chain (APICs or similar), Project Management (PMP), or Lean 6 Sigma are a plus.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

     

    Ability to maneuver around an array of equipment, bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds; Able to occasionally work in a cold environment.  Position may require sitting for long periods of time and extended periods of travel.
