Position Overview

LaneStaffing is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Microbiologist II to support wastewater surveillance testing and laboratory operations. This role plays a critical part in public health monitoring and requires strong adherence to quality control and chain of custody procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily testing of wastewater surveillance samples

• Maintain strict chain of custody procedures for all samples

• Conduct quality control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Receive, log, and properly store laboratory samples

• Maintain organized and compliant laboratory documentation

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Bacteriology, Microbiology , or a closely related field

• Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience in:

  • Bacteriology

  • Serology

  • Virology

Preferred Skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to follow structured laboratory protocols

• Experience working with regulated or compliance-driven processes

• Strong organizational and documentation skills
