Microsoft Business Analyst
Role Snapshot
As a Microsoft Business Analyst (Junior to Mid-Level), you will support the analysis, documentation, and improvement of business processes across Microsoft-centric environments. Success in this role is defined by clear, actionable requirements, strong stakeholder alignment, and solutions that enhance collaboration, reporting, and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do
• Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements from stakeholders
• Support initiatives aligned to Microsoft 365 / Office 365 workflows and collaboration tools
• Analyze current-state processes and assist in defining future-state improvements
• Partner with technical teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements
• Assist with data analysis and reporting using Microsoft-based tools where applicable
• Maintain requirements documentation, process flows, and meeting notes in Microsoft collaboration tools
• Support testing, validation, and user acceptance activities to ensure solutions meet business needs
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Policy, Computer Science, or related field
• 3–6 years of professional experience in business analysis, process analysis, or related roles
• Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Comfort working in Microsoft-centric environments, including Microsoft 365 tools
Preferred Qualifications
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain an Agency Public Trust clearance
• Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900)
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900)
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
• CBAP®, CCBA®, or ECBA™ certification
• SAFe® Business Analyst (SAFe BA) or SAFe® Agilist (SA)
• Project Management Professional (PMP®) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®)
• Experience supporting business process improvement, reporting, or data-driven decision-making initiatives
Work Model
Hybrid role with some travel to Danville, Virginia, as needed.
Home base will be RightSeat.AI HQ in Ashburn, Virginia, and/or remote from home after 90 days.
