POSITON EXPECTIONS As an LPN faculty/adjunct faculty, you will demonstrate and model the expertise expected of a nurse professional and will be VISIBLE by representing MACOHS in the classroom, and in the community as you continue to help students d achieve career goals FLEXIBL SCHEDULE Our PN program is approved by the Kansas Board of Nursing (KSBN) for 60 students with 20 in each cohort. The following schedules are available and negotiable if you wish to float without being tied down to a schedule:

    Monday through Thursday 7:00a.m. to 1:30p.m., OR

    Monday through Thursday 3:00p.m. to 9:30p.m., OR

    Friday to Sunday 7a.m to 3:30p.m.

    WHAT THE WORK ENTAILS: You will work alongside the Program Director to:

    Plan, teach and evaluate clinical medical-surgical nursing and other specialty areas in the clinical setting.

    Develop, implement, and revise the standards based practical nursing curriculum in accordance with state and national standards.

    Clinical nursing adjunct faculty to teach at off-campus clinical instruction sites.

    Assume the obligations ordinarily associated with the teaching profession.

    Support the college Policies and Procedures, maintain confidentiality of student data, and exercise great professionalism

    POSITION QUALIFICATION

    Possess a current Kansas/Missouri registered nurse (RN) license in good standing.

    Possess a bachelor’s (BSN) degree in nursing or higher degree.

    Possess a minimum of two years full-time experience in nursing or its equivalent within the last five years and evidence of clinical competence in clinical instruction and maintain expertise appropriate to teaching responsibilities.

    Knowledge of instructional techniques and individual learning styles.

    Knowledge of technology assisted teaching techniques and internet-based research. Knowledge and participation in the implementation of a program effective plan (PEP) desired.

    Knowledge of formal and informal student assessment techniques.

    Knowledge of the KSBN curriculum requirements.

    Crrent relevant clinical experience in acute, post-acute rehab, or acute medical/surgical, and/or specialty area (i.e., Mental Health, Obstetrics, etc.).

    Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Active BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association certification
