Onsite in Albany, NY
Following the NYS Branding Guidelines, duties include but not limited to:
- Work with Public Information Office to discuss and determine design strategies;
- Create and prepare design files for print and social media; work with printers and other media producers to ensure that jobs are produced and delivered as specified;
- Follow universal accessibility guidelines for documents and publications; design custom graphics for use in agency communications;
- Create promotional and presentation materials for executive staff and outreach, including PowerPoints; signage, handouts, and similar materials;
- Design and update agency's forms, manuals and PowerPoints using Microsoft Office Suite and/or Adobe Creative Suite;
- Design graphics for agency web site, web-based applications, and videos; take photographs at OTDA events;
- Review files when work is created by other offices to ensure accuracy; proper application of branding standards, and universal accessibility
Qualifications:
36 - 60 months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 48 months of experience in InDesign creating design files for print material for example brochures, pamphlets, signage, posters, etc.
- 48 months of experience in Adobe Illustrator creating icons, and graphics
- 48 months of experience in photoshop, editing photos
- 48 months of experience creating digital graphics for social media
- 48 months experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- 48 months of experience using digital cameras- point and shoot
- 24 months of experience working with outside commercial outside printers to have brochures printed etc.
- 24 months of experience creating PowerPoint presentations
- Bachelor’s Degree in the design field such as digital design, or graphic design, 4 years experience, and portfolio of work
- Adobe Certified Professional (ACP)
