Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is looking to grow its client's tax group with a mid-level associate based in New York. This candidate will work and advise clients on merger and acquisition transactions, debt and other financing transactions, and portfolio investments; design and implement tax-efficient structures for joint ventures and a wide range of corporate transactions; and provide clients with state tax planning advice.

The firm requires working from the office approximately 60% of the time in accordance with the firm's published guidelines.

Qualifications

• A JD from an ABA-accredited law school, with an LLM in tax preferred
• Admitted or eligible for admission in New York
• At least four years of transactional tax experience, with a focus on corporate transactional and partnership taxation in a law firm environment
• Background in energy, real estate and international taxation preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professionalism in working and engaging with clients and colleagues
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and balance competing responsibilities
• Ability to stay organized and exercise extreme attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings

The salary range for this position is $310,000 to $365,000.
