    Position: Mid-Tier Systems Engineer (Tier 2) Job Type: Full-time

    About the Role

    CNR Technologies is looking for a skilled Mid-Tier Systems Engineer (Tier 2) to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll serve as a key escalation point for Tier 1 engineers and handle more advanced technical challenges across various systems and networks. You’ll provide support via remote tools, onsite visits, and phone, ensuring fast, reliable solutions for our clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    Troubleshoot and resolve client issues involving:

    Domains and user accounts

    Email systems

    Printing and imaging

    Computer and laptop setup

    Server management and configuration

    Deliver support via remote sessions, phone calls, and onsite visits

    Travel to client locations primarily within Woodstock and surrounding areas

    Manage mid-level projects independently from start to finish

    Serve as an escalation point for Tier 1 engineers

    Provide support and mentorship to junior team members

    Stay current with and implement new technologies as needed

    Document resolutions, maintain organized records, and manage multiple priorities efficiently

    Adapt quickly to changing tasks and priorities

    Contribute positively to team goals and company growth through a hands-on, solutions-focused mindset

    Skills & Qualifications

    Preferred Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ (or equivalent)

    3–5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network troubleshooting

    Strong experience with Windows environments (including Windows Server 2016+)

    Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS, etc.

    Proficiency with networking concepts: VLANs, routing tables, VPNs

    Hands-on experience with firewalls (pfSense, Fortigate, Sophos, SonicWall, etc.)

    Clear, confident communication with clients and team members

    Ability to manage tickets and projects independently with deadlines

    Experience in customer-facing roles strongly preferred

    Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools is a plus

    Willingness to work additional hours as needed (potentially compensated)
