Overview
We are seeking a full time dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher with a Special Education Credential (or preliminary credential) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs. The teacher will mainly be teaching English Language Arts to grades 6-12.

Hillside is a small school with average class size of 5-7 students, which makes it an effective size to help each student and meet their individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students' unique needs.
• Educate students in various subjects while adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and social skills among students.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student progress and address any concerns.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
• Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages participation and engagement.
• Incorporate learning technology into lessons to enhance educational experiences.
