Middle School ELA/Civics Teacher - Holy Cross Lutheran School
Holy Cross Lutheran School, a Christ-centered private school dedicated to academic excellence and spiritual growth, is seeking a passionate and qualified Middle School ELA and Civics Teacher. This full-time position involves teaching English Language Arts and Civics to students in grades 6–8.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging lessons in ELA and Civics aligned with school standards and Christian values
Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment
Encourage student growth in reading comprehension, writing, critical thinking, and civic responsibility
Integrate biblical principles into daily instruction
Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administration
Participate in school-wide events, faculty meetings, and professional development
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
Valid teaching credential (state certification or ACSI certification)
Experience teaching middle school students preferred
A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and agreement with the school’s statement of faith
Strong classroom management and communication skills
