    Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School Summer Program Instructor to lead engaging educational activities for young learners through 3 different two week programs. Each is focused on a different topic area comprising math, science, and the humanities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire middle school students, foster their curiosity, and create a fun, safe, and productive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be an inspired educator with a broad knowledge base, creativity, and a passion for helping students thrive both academically and socially throughout the summer program.

    Responsibilities

    Facilitate the prepared curriculum from June 8th through July 17th with prior availability for training and onboarding.

    Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, respect, and teamwork.

    Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants

    Collaborate with fellow instructors and management staff to troubleshoot challenges and enhance the overall program experience

    Assess student progress through informal observations and provide constructive feedback to support their development

    Ensure compliance with program policies and safety protocols

    Required Qualifications

    Prior teaching and tutoring experience.

    Strong communication skills with the ability to empower and connect with young learners

    Creative problem-solving skills to adapt activities for diverse learning styles and needs

    Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

    University experience or current enrollment in higher education program

    Demonstrated enthusiasm for education and youth development

    Preferred Qualifications

    Secondary teaching experience and/or a teaching certificate

    Experience in working with homeschool/alternative learning students

    Willingness to continue work in the upcoming school year

    Ample availability Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm
