    **Overview
    **Emet Classical Academy seeks an outstanding Science Teacher capable of teaching across Middle and Upper School levels with the expertise to lead advanced science coursework including AP Biology, AP Chemistry, or AP Physics. The ideal candidate is a dynamic educator who blends rigorous coursework, hands-on investigation, and clarity of scientific thinking within a classical framework.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Teach a selection of science courses across grades 6–12, such as:
      • Earth & Space Science
      • Life Science
      • Physical Science
      • Biology
      • Chemistry
      • Physics
      • AP Biology, AP Chemistry, or AP Physics
    • Design and deliver labs that emphasize scientific habits of mind, precision, and observation.
    • Support students preparing for AP science assessments and advanced study.
    • Contribute to the development of a vertically aligned classical science curriculum.
    • Maintain a safe, organized, inquiry-driven laboratory space.
    • Participate fully in faculty life, including advising and community responsibilities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field required; advanced degree preferred.
    • Experience teaching AP-level science strongly preferred.
    • Strong laboratory management and curriculum design skills.
    • Alignment with a classical, content-rich approach to science education.
