Cafe Francais is Tucson's only high end, 100% from scratch, local, French bakery. We are a small team consisting of 2 working baker/owners, four other baker (not including this position) and one salesperson.

We are currently seeking one full-time midnight baker. Working hours would be Wednesday - Sunday 4am-12pm for training. 12am-8am after training.

This is an hourly position of $17-$21/hr. with tips.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Pulling and proofing laminated doughs

Filling pastries before baking

Baking pastries to perfection

Finishing/decorating pastries

Organizing pastries for display and transportation

Dishes & light cleaning

Light prep

Qualifications:

A passion for baking

Previous experience as a baker, pastry chef, or in a similar role is preferred

Ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment

Knowledge of food safety practices

Strong organizational skills

A sense of urgency

The ability to Multitask effectively

Efficient in time management

Can work independently & as a team

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Can follow a recipe precisely

A high level of common sense

Can stand for long periods of time

Can lift up to 50lbs
