MIDSTATE CAULKING & CONSTRUCTION is currently seeking ​an ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records while being primary on accounts payable for our company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reconcile all financial accounts using ComputerEase construction software
• Handle all accounts payable, cash flow management, and set up and maintain vendors/customers
• Create and maintain up to date procedures for your work, create job costing reports as requested
• Negotiate yearly purchasing agreements with vendors
• File tax reports, track fixed assets, and record retention
• New project set up, W-9s, COI's (Certificate of Insurance), NTO(Notice to Owner), vendor set-up, bond application, DPO (Direct Purchase Order) set up, etc.
• Provide support to A/R clerk as needed- including pursuing past due billings. Escalating to owners when needed.
• Manage computer access/ liaison with computer tech support and printer tech support.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting/bookkeeping. Construction Office Management preferred
• Must possess a high degree of discretion in handling confidential information
• Must be very detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Intermediate to Exceptional skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; monitor own work to ensure quality
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects and priorities on an ongoing basis
