To perform the duties of interacting with customers, accurately inputting data and filling prescriptions, supporting the Pharmacist's role with patients, and working well with the team. Responsibilities: • Greeting and welcoming customers • Gathering and inputting complete information • Confirming insurance coverage reimbursement • Printing confirming labels • Accurately filling prescriptions • Following up with patients, often by phone • Offering pharmacy programs to patients and supporting their implementation • Fulfilling both the Order Entry Tech role and Dispensing Tech role • Reordering pharmacy inventory as needed to maintain stock • Following up with doctors to discuss key issues (P.A.'s, Refill Requests, etc) • Prescription files are maintained in an orderly fashion compliant with MEP Policy Qualifications: • At least 2 years experience of being a pharmacy technician • Certification is preferred, but not required • Flexibility • Dependability Compensation: $14 to $16 (dependent upon experience)
