Manufacturing Product Configurator

Overview

Midway Windows & Doors, a privately held and family-owned company for over 60 years, is based in Bedford Park, Illinois. We are a manufacturer of vinyl windows & patio doors, conducting a search for an IT Professional to manage and maintain our custom ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain FeneVision software, a custom ERP system unique to our industry
• Maintain price books, inventory (including real-time inventory)
• Implement business and manufacturing process automation with FeneVision
• Understanding of manufacturing bill of materials (BOM)
• Optimize FeneVision to meet the company’s operation and production needs
• Create and configure products in FeneVision
• Understanding of production machine interfaces (welders, saws, computerized cleaners, glass cutters, automated glass lines)
• Assist with data input, import and export
• Report writing with Microsoft RDL and the ability to create AD-HOC reports
• Creating/maintaining UX for web-based customers
• Manufacturing rule writing based on product requirements
• Develop and maintain relationships with supporting vendors

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or related field of study preferred, or 3+ years of related experience
• Proficient in SQL and VB Scripting, VB Studio knowledge preferred
• Experience in manufacturing industry ERP-type system is required
• Time management and project management skills
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, multi-tasking skills
• Organization and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work on projects independently with minimal supervision
• General IT helpdesk troubleshooting a plus

• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• SQL Administration Experience
