Description

Midwest Fire is seeking an individual to work in our office environment located in Luverne, MN where we manufacture emergency fire apparatus. We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, is organized, and motivated.

Accounting Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable & Account Payable
• Customer Invoicing
• Cost Accounting & Profit Analysis
• Inventory Review & Reporting
• Month End - Assist VP/Office Manager w/ completion of financial statements
• Reconciliation of Bank Statements
• Prepare Documents – 1099’s, assist VP/Office Manager with review & compilation.
• External & Internal communications with vendors and customers.
• Daily administrative office tasks
• Provides support to the VP/Office Manager as assigned.
• Support and enforce safety requirements and standards.
• Support and enforce the professionalism standards established by Midwest Fire management
• Additional duties to be assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
• 10-key by touch
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as office correspondence, invoices and procedures
• Must have the ability to handle internal/external customer communications in a professional manner
• Understanding of GAAP principles
• QuickBooks, SalesForce.com, or Fishbowl experience a plus
