  • Responsibilities

    Midwest Networking Services is an established growing IT company seeking Level 1 Support Technician to provide monitoring, management, and support services in the St. Louis Metro Area. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in hardware/software support, troubleshooting, password reset, smartphone experience, anti-virus installation and networking issues in a Windows based environment. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, dependable with a professional appearance and excellent customer service skills with patience in understanding client needs.

    Job Duties - Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications - Router installation, configuration and support - Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks - Talking clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues - Troubleshooting system and network faults - Diagnosing and solving hardware or software issues - Troubleshooting LAN and wireless connectivity issues - Installing and troubleshooting both local and network printers - Maintain and monitor backup systems - Network security and antivirus systems - Replacing parts as required - Providing support for mobile devices - Supporting email applications - Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues - Responding to call-outs within agreed time limits - Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time - Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with clients and other professionals, e.g., software developers - Testing and evaluating new technology

    Qualification/Requirements - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Must have clean driving record and reliable transportation - Occasional on-call/weekend work - Degrees/certifications are a plus
