Midwest Tape is a library-dedicated full-service media distributor providing physical and digital media to thousands of libraries across North America. Our International Headquarters is located in Holland, Ohio at the facility that we built in 2016, to house our distribution center and support teams for Midwest Tape, hoopla digital, the fastest growing app serving libraries and Dreamscape Publishing, the Library-First publisher of Audiobooks and Video. As we build our team to support the ongoing growth of our business, we are looking for enthusiastic team players dedicated to delivering best-in-class service for our library customers and their patrons.
Position Summary: Collaborates with the rest of the Video Marketing group as well as key players within and outside of the Marketing Department to meet and exceed the selection needs of our public library customers. This team player will help plan and execute digital and print marketing for the Video Category including DVD, Blu-ray, & 4K. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this position successfully, an individual must fulfill the knowledge, skill, and/or ability requirements listed below: • Have a passion for and general knowledge of the movie and television industry, including a strong awareness of current trends, popular actors, producers, directors, key title releases, and have a grasp of the competitive landscape. • Able to think critically and analyze data to identify trends, and develop creative ways to profitably grow sales. • Work with vendors and customers to develop selection and merchandising plans that achieve winning outcomes • Provide objective-based creative direction to internal design team in order to develop necessary creative assets to effectively communicate with patrons, vendors, and library staff. Skills: • Basic Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook & Adobe • Professional and polished demeanor in working with internal and external collaborators • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Strong research skills • Possess the ability to work independently • Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills and ability to meet deadlines Preferred Education Requirements: • Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing or related field.
