Founded in 1983, we use a transformative, systems-approach to soil health. In 2017 the company opened a new division that manufactures TerraNu; a breakthrough product that will expand the company’s reach and allow for more scalable growth.

    Job Description Midwestern BioAg is looking for an eager finance intern to assist in various aspects of the finance department, including but not limited to compiling and tabulating operational data, coming up with more efficient ways to store data, and participate in discussions about important financial decisions.

    The ideal candidate will be energetic and hardworking with a can-do attitude. The finance intern will gain hands-on experience in a leading sustainable-agriculture and plant-nutrient company working on challenging, meaningful projects with guidance from experienced industry professionals and other members of our team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Compiling operational data for analysis

    • Help different members of the finance department stay connected

    • Work with the VP Finance to progress and organize the department

    • Other duties as assigned

    Opportunities:

    • Connect with and learn more about MBA’s employees, history and impact in the ag industry

    • Gain experience dealing with financial situations in real-time

    • Expand knowledge on the progressive and critical innovation of sustainable farming, with a focus on improving soil health

    Qualifications

    • Experience in and passion for sustainability

    • Major in agriculture, business, finance or related field

    • Knowledge of Python or R would be useful

    • 3.0 GPA or higher

    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment

    • Experience with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, and ability to learn new systems quickly

    • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license a plus
