Haul Lane Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and dependable MIG Welder to join our fabrication and assembly team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with steel and aluminum components, reading blueprints, and producing high-quality welds that meet company standards.
This position plays a key role in building truck bodies, metal frames, and custom parts for our manufacturing and fabrication operations.
Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on steel and aluminum materials for truck bodies, frames, and metal components.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accuracy.
Set up welding machines and adjust settings according to material thickness and project specifications.
Inspect welds for quality, strength, and alignment.
Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order.
Operate hand tools, grinders, and cutting torches as needed.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies during fabrication and assembly.
Assist with general shop duties and support other fabrication projects as required.
1–3 years of MIG welding experience (industrial or manufacturing environment preferred).
Proficiency in MIG (GMAW) welding; TIG or stick welding experience a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and measurements.
Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Certification in welding (AWS or equivalent) preferred but not required.
Experience in truck body or trailer fabrication.
Knowledge of press brake, plasma cutting, or assembly processes.
Forklift or overhead crane operation experience.
