Migrant Outreach Coordinator / Medical Assistant
The Migrant Outreach Coordinator will perform medical assistant activities such as taking vitals, vaccination or drawing blood. Establish and maintain an effective and efficient record of lab procedures on the Mobile unit. The Migrant Outreach Coordinator approaches his/her tasks in a team based care fashion that supports patients and their families in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. When needed will be responsible for entering the information of the patients served on Mobile Unit into Salud’s system, including verification of third payer status and generation of claims for services offered in Mobile Unit. Will do outreach activities to promote the health of the different communities in SALUD service area when needed. Adheres to the spirit of the SALUD mission statement while performing assigned duties.
