In our individualized housing option, our 22 year old son (cognitively 4) seeks a helper to go out in the community each day/eve/weekend (you can select what hours work for you, very flexible if you need to adjust your hours for school, etc.). Its really about what you can do! He enjoys learning new things, going to lots of activities, where staff work on language skills as they communicate with him, along with day-day life skills. Lots of pro-active redirecting, and strong communication needs like that to a 4 year old. Will need multiple people to fill the many roles, and we have 2 staff with him during activities.
