We are a family-run business that has been serving, famous, South Louisiana cuisine since 1975.
The General Manager (GM) is one of the most important roles at Mike Anderson's. As such, the GM must always lead by example and be a brand ambassador by championing our culture and business. With our vision at the fore front, the GM leads, manages, and commands our Front of House Management Team, Events Management Team, Kitchen and Prep Management Teams and oversees all restaurant operations.
Key priorities for the General Manager are maintaining and growing excellence in both our leaders and team members. As well as, maintaining operational excellence across all facets of operations and achieving financial targets and profitability.

FOR OUR BUSINESS, YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE:

Ensures that management and staff are aligned with Mike Anderson’s priorities.
Excellent manager of people, able to hire, train, retain, motivate and engage the entire team to maximize results.
Be a great communicator, able to resolve conflict and able to listen constructively for to feedback, concerns and insights.
Implementing and maximizing operational systems for Mike Anderson’s success.
Maintaining compliance with all required brand standards, behaviors, hallmarks, and license agreement mandates
Leadership and Team Development:
Ensure that team is continually being educated on our products and concept.
Drive improvements in team member engagement.
Aligned with the brand service behaviors.
Develop, implement, and monitor team member succession planning to ensure future bench strength.
Performance and development goals for team members and provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to enhance performance.
Oversee any salary, disciplinary or staffing/human resources related actions in accordance with company rules and policies.
Ensure that managers are following proper HR procedures including breaking, overtime, terminations, write ups and other policies designed to protect the business and comply with the law.
Guest Relationships:
Must have a "100% Satisfied" mentality.
Drive improvement in guest satisfaction goals.
Collaborate with colleagues and team members to maintain and develop services and programs that exceed guest expectations.
Make time to interact with guests, solicit feedback, and build relationships.
Operations, Systems, and Order:
Oversee day-to-day operations of Mike Anderson’s Gonzales.
Maintain and develop current FOH, Kitchen, and financial systems.
Foster company culture and implement programs to support it.
Develop and maintain service standards at all levels.
Increase operational efficiencies to boost profits and guest satisfaction.
Hold employees and managers accountable to operational and service standards of excellence.
Ensure that proper uniform and appearances are maintained.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure that levels are within targets.
Maintain and develop labor management and schedule systems
Maintains food safety and sanitation standards
Financial & Inventory:
Make sure that all inventory is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Check Beverage/Food for variances.
Analyze financials to drive revenues, future profitability, and maximum return on investment.
Use information and technology to drive revenue and maximize market share.
Collaborate to develop and set financial goals and objectives.
Participate in three-year and annual planning processes.
Monitor expenditures at restaurant.
Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.
Determine areas needing cost reduction and/or process improvement.
Updates and develops budget goals.
Meets budgeted sales and controllable costs targets
Oversees execution of required daily reporting.
Facilities
Ensure that all restaurant facility, tools and equipment are properly cared for, maintained, and managed.
Education:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree required; College Degree appreciated.
ServSafe certification.
Responsible Vendor Training.
Valid Driver's License.
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate progressive career responsibilities and will have held in prior work experiences, like and similar duties.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and other general computer systems.
