    About the Position:

    This role is an opportunity to take a crash course in up-leveling your HR experience and work with a stellar group of other HR and Payroll professionals, ready to collaborate, learn, and share as we grow our clients and ourselves. You will partner with various leaders across industries to help lead them through the employee lifecycle. From onboarding new team members to offboarding those ready for their next adventure, you will have the opportunity to positively impact many businesses and employees.

    This is a remote position with occasional travel to the Indianapolis, Indiana, area. Candidates within a reasonable driving distance of Indianapolis are preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare new employee paperwork and conduct employee onboarding

    • Assist with employee benefit enrollments, including processing QLEs and assisting in open enrollment

    • Update handbooks and policies as needed

    • Complete Form I-9, verify documentation, and maintain E-Verify

    • Submit online investigation requests and assist with new-employee background checks

    • Reconcile benefits statements

    • Assist with processing of terminations

    • Complete paperwork related to employment verifications, unemployment claims, and workers' compensation claims.

    • Process PTO and employee leaves

    • Assist with the preparation of the performance review process

    • Maintain employee files

    • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree and/or related certifications (PHR/SHRM-CP) are strongly preferred

    • Minimum of 2 years of related experience

    • A consulting mindset with excellent communication skills and a focus on customer service

    • Understanding of HR processes, best practices, and compliance

    • Experience working with multi-state companies/clients preferred
