    Job Description

    ABOUT YOU:  You’re a creative thinker with a wealth of knowledge in email and SMS marketing, the e-commerce industry, and more specifically, the fashion, jewelry, and beauty space. When posed with a creative challenge, you use a combination of historical data, current e-commerce/industry trends, & creative problem solving to develop winning strategies that impact your client's growth and ROI. As an Email Marketing Specialist, you’ll be focused on scaling your clients’ email and SMS programs by creating personalized communication that builds long-term customer relationships.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Set up client’s email accounts, ensuring everything is in place during the onboarding process.
    • Support all elements of email campaign execution, including pop-up forms, Klaviyo account management, list segmentation, copywriting, flow creation, and email campaign creation.
    • Establish targeting strategies based on customer lifecycle segmentation & predictive analytics.
    • Draft creative briefs that enable designers to bring the vision for each campaign to life. 
    • Proof and QA campaigns to ensure 100% error free execution.
    • Regularly pull and organize accurate reporting for KPIs to glean insights and make recommendations.
    • Continuously measure and optimize campaign performance while also establishing benchmarks and recommending future tests.
    • Become the expert on your client’s retention tools (Klaviyo, subscriber acquisition tools, review platform, loyalty program, etc.).
    • Conduct frequent analysis of competitor programs looking for insights around targeting, promotional offers, and cadence/delivery timing.
    • As an extension of their teams, you’ll understand your client’s goals and what success looks like when making decisions.
    • Provide core project management support for email marketing, ensuring key milestones are met and strategic momentum is maintained.
    • Communicate campaign performance to clients and build a clear roadmap for the future.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years experience in technical email marketing for e-commerce preferred
    • Experience of handling your own clients/accounts preferably in an agency setting
    • Knowledge of working within Klaviyo with strong knowledge of email marketing, ESPs, and best practices for email design and deliverability
    • Basic knowledge of HTML
    • Proven track record of creating, implementing and optimizing complex email programs to meet business goals
    • Strong project management skills and the proven ability to drive momentum
    • Hands-on experience executing A/B tests and analyzing results
    • Understanding of digital marketing principles, specifically email marketing best practices
    • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically
    • High attention to detail, deadlines, and accuracy with minimum supervision
    • Positive attitude and ability to operate in a very rapidly changing environment with ambiguity; requires being scrappy
    • Ability to effectively resolve problems and/or roadblocks independently as they occur, knowing when to escalate when necessary
    • Ability to maintain composure and continue to execute under pressure or periods of high stress
    • Willingness to dive in and find answers to complex problems where solutions may not yet be documented
    • Bachelor's Degree (Marketing, Business Development, Economics or related analytics fields)
