    CNC Mill Set-Up Machinist

    Job Description:
    Seeking experienced CNC Mill Set-Up Machinists who enjoy solving problems and working on something different every day!

    This is a true job-shop machining environment working with Haas wet and dry mills and a wide variety of projects. We’re looking for machinists who can set up CNC mills independently and are comfortable with conversational programming.

    • Area: Cincinnati, OH area
    • Shift: 1st Shift preferred; 2nd and 3rd Shift also available
    • Pay: $27–$35/hour
    • Type: Direct Hire

    SHIFT OPTIONS

    • 1st Shift: Primary hiring need
    • 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM
    • 3rd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 PM–5:30 AM

    THE REQUIREMENTS

    • Prior experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines
    • Conversational CNC programming experience is required
    • Haas mill experience is strongly preferred
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
    • Knowledge of G & M codes is a major plus
    • Ability to use precision measuring equipment
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
    • Intermediate math skills, including algebra and trigonometry
    • Basic computer skills
    • Strong attention to detail and organization
    • Ability to work independently and meet daily production expectations
    • Willingness to provide basic personal tools such as calipers

    THE DAILY DUTIES

    • Set up CNC mills safely and efficiently
    • Install and adjust tooling, collets, bushings, fixtures, stops, and other setup components
    • Indicate vices and tram machine heads as required
    • Program and adjust CNC machines using conversational controls
    • Load material and operate milling equipment
    • Verify first-run and sample parts using precision measurements
    • Monitor drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and threading operations as applicable
    • Adjust offsets, tooling, and machine controls to maintain specifications
    • Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues
    • Sharpen and replace worn tooling
    • Document production and quality information
    • Help guide and mentor Mill Operators and Apprentices
    • Maintain a clean and organized 6S work area
    • Follow all safety and quality procedures
