PART TIME INSTRUCTOR, PHYSICS - ONLINE

WHO YOU ARE
As a part-time online instructor in the Science Department, you will teach a fully asynchronous course in Chemistry.
You have experience teaching online, or have experience in the classroom that will be transferrable to an online setting. You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum to meet the needs of a diverse population of students. Student retention and success is your top priority. You understand the importance of being actively engaged with your students online. You are excited to incorporate active learning and other innovative teaching strategies to develop students’ critical thinking skills. You have experience with D2L or other Learning Management Systems.
THIS IS A PART-TIME, TEMPORARY POSITION WITH NO BENEFITS EXCEPT COLORADO STATE RETIREMENT, PERA.

Although this is an online position, you must be a resident of Colorado by the first day of employment.

SALARY: The pay range for Part-Time Instructors varies, depending on the type of course, the contact ratio and contact hours, as well as your level of education and years of teaching. Please refer to our Part-Time Instructor Pay Matrix for detailed information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
RELATED DEGREES/DISCIPLINES: Physics, Physical Science with a Physics emphasis, Astrophysics, Biophysics, Chemical Physics, Geophysics, Applied Physics, or Engineering Physics, Astronomy, Atmospheric Science, Materials Science, or Engineering.
