    POSITION                         : TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST (MUST TELEPHONE-BASED CUSTOMER SERVICE/HELP DESK EXP)

    LOCATION                       : SAN ANTONIO, TX

    DURATION                       : 6 MONTHS CONTRACT

    TOTAL HOURS/WEEK        : 40.00

    1ST SHIFT

    CLIENT: MEDICAL DEVICE COMPANY

    LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE: MID-LEVEL

    EMPLOYMENT TYPE: CONTRACT ON W2 (NEED US CITIZENS OR GC HOLDERS ONLY)

     

    WORK HOURS:

    During Training, 8-5 M-F after training the shift may be M-F, Tu-Sa or Su – Th. The SA office hour may be any 8 hour shift (8.5 total hours with 30 min lunch or 9 total hours with 1 hour lunch) time between 5AM – 8PM

     

    3 MUST HAVES ON THE RESUME:

    Telephone-based customer service/help desk experience

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    ·         This position is responsible for providing Technical Support to internal and external customers by solving complex software issues, dispatching field service for hardware issues and answering usage questions regarding proprietary software and hardware.

    ·         The person in this role is vital in managing, resolving, and facilitating resolution for client Pyxis dispensing platforms.

    ·         The San Antonio Technical Support Center hours of operation are currently 5AM-8PM Central Time, 7 days a week. Associates may expect to work a 40 hour week with back-to-back days off but not limited to a Mon-Fri schedule. Hours of operation are subject to change based on business needs.

     

    BUSINESS DESCRIPTION:

    ·         Pyxis® medication technologies combine proven technology with actionable intelligence to prevent medication errors, help free up caregiver time to focus on patient care, increase the predictability of medication availability, and reduce inefficiencies in the med use process. At almost every point in the med use process, safety and efficiency can be increased with the comprehensive capabilities of the Pyxis® medication management system.

     

    TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    ·         MS SQL Server (SQL 2008/2012) 3+ years

    ·         Must be able to write advanced queries (i.e. Select and Join statements) and analyze SQL data within complex database structures.

    ·         SSIS (SQL Job) exposure/experience

    ·         MS SQL Reporting Services

    ·         MS OS knowledge (3+ Years)

    ·         Windows Server 2008/2012

    ·         Windows 7 and Windows 10

    ·         Microsoft IIS and Web Applications

     

    ABILITY TO USE AND INTERPRET RESULTS FROM TROUBLESHOOTING TOOLS (2+ YEARS), INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    ·         Application logs

    ·         OS event logs

    ·         Performance Monitor

    ·         Performance Counters

    ·         Task Manager

    ·         Active Directory with a basic understanding of Group Policies and Security Permissions (1+ years)

    ·         Networking topology and troubleshooting (2+ years)

    ·         DNS

    ·         DHCP

    ·         LAN/WAN

    ·         Telnet

    ·         Ports (Networking/OS)

    ·         Wireshark

    ·         Understanding XML (1+ years)

    ·         VMware experience or exposure (1+ years) Wireshark (1+ Years)

     

    SOFT SKILLS:

    ·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate solutions to complex technical problems. Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple high priority issues simultaneously.

    ·         Strong personal commitment to quality, customer service and patient safety.

    ·         Ability to understand and communicate complex technical systems to a non-technical audience.

    ·         Works well in a team environment.

    ·         Proven ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling complex user issues and high pressure situations.

     

    EDUCATION:

    ·         The ideal candidate is a college graduate with a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.

    ·         Pharmacy or nursing experience a plus.

    ·         Preferred Certifications

    ·         CCNA, CCNP, A+, MCTS, MCSE

     

    OTHER:

    ·         Existing Department of Defense clearance or ability to participate in required background check.
