Millwork CNC Operator Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Millwork CNC Operator to join our architectural cabinetry and millwork manufacturing team. The right candidate for this role must have experience operating a CNC machine in the manufacturing of architectural cabinetry and millwork.
Responsibilities and Duties
Operate a FELDNER single-phase, three-axis CNC milling machine to manufacture precision parts according to specifications from the Cabinet Vision Engineer.
Prepare the CNC machine for operation, which includes loading materials, installing tools, and configuring settings based on the design specifications. ·
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine machining requirements.
Monitor the CNC during operation and perform quality checks. ·
Verify part accuracy and tolerance using precision measuring instruments. ·
Label all complete parts after quality check, and store as directed.
Collaborate with others to optimize the production process and ordering of materials.
Conduct daily CNC machine maintenance to ensure good working condition.
Troubleshoot and correct any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety regulations.
Assist with the fabrication of architectural cabinetry.
Qualifications
Minimum of two years proven experience as a Millwork CNC Operator.
Knowledge of various wood species, plastics, and laminates.
Knowledge of tooling and fixtures used in the manufacturing processes.·
Effective communication and time management skills.·
Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and professionalism.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Physical Requirements
Able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 60 pounds;
Able to walk, kneel, and bend frequently;
Able to stand for prolonged periods.
Working Environment
Work is performed in a woodshop environment;
Eye and respiratory protection may be needed;
Noise level may require hearing protection;
Temperature and humidity will typically mirror weather conditions.
