Estimator / Inside Project Coordinator

Leading Custom Wood and Steel Door and Window manufacturer seeks experienced estimator - project coordinator. Please do not apply unless you have some construction experience!

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Qualified candidate will be capable of working in a fast paced environment responding to deadlines for quotes, preparing estimates and managing projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working Knowledge of Door and Window functions and types

Working Knowledge of Residential Building Take-Offs

Able to Read Blueprints / Prepare Estimates

Coordinate with Installation Team

Job Site Visits Assessing Status

Liaison with Client Representatives, Superintendents

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Construction experience

Estimating experience

Strong written and verbal skills

Good grasp of math and measuring instruments

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Responsible and dependable with good follow through

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, PERSONAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Door and window sales

Experience working with lumber / specifications and grades

Experience working with steel / specifications and grades

Experience working with glass / specifications and grades

Experience working with door and window hardware

Construction Superintendent Experience

Finish carpentry experience

Product engineering experience

Supervisory experience

Job Site Experience

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years experience – construction, sales, estimating or manufacturing.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience
