Cactus Varied Industries is a millwright, fabrication, and engineering company based in Amarillo, Texas, and a division of Cactus Feeders. The company provides a wide range of millwright and fabrication services supporting agricultural operations. Position Summary:

The Millwright is responsible for the installation, construction, maintenance, and repair of feedyard feed mill equipment and systems. This role involves working with industrial machinery in a feed mill environment and may also include concrete work. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including occasional work outside normal business hours and limited overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and construct feed mill equipment and systems
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of industrial machinery
• Conduct welding and cutting tasks as needed
• Operate heavy equipment such as man baskets, telehandlers, skid loaders, and loaders
• Assist with pouring, placing, and finishing concrete
• Work at heights and in various outdoor conditions
• Follow all company policies and OSHA safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members and complete tasks independently when required
• Be available to work extended hours or weekends as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in feed mill or agricultural construction operations
• Proven welding skills preferred
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Attention to detail and effective time management skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently

Work Environment:

• Primarily outdoor and industrial settings
• Exposure to varying weather conditions
• Physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
